Job Description

Summary

The Registered Nurse I (RNI) plays a key role within the Baylor Medicine Comprehensive Healthcare Clinic's concierge and executive programs. This role provides direct patient care, supports clinical operations, and coordinates services for high-touch patients including corporate clients and Baylor leadership. The RNI collaborates closely with physicians, wellness teams, and leadership to ensure a seamless, high-quality care experience in a concierge setting.

This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to adapt in a high-touch care model, and the initiative to contribute to team wide care planning and strategy. The RNI may serve as a clinical liaison and is expected to uphold BCM's standards for professionalism, patient care, and operational excellence.

This position is located at our McNair Campus.

Job Duties

  • Performs routine clinical procedures such as a vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, cognitive screenings, and point-of-care testing.
  • Supports in-office procedures, sets up equipment, and administers medications as directed.
  • Coordinates patient referrals, appointment scheduling, and follow-ups.
  • Manages incoming MyChart messages and provides telephone triage.
  • Documents patient interactions in the EMR and assists with maintaining accurate clinical records.
  • Provides patient education and acts as liaison between patients and physicians.
  • Participates in quality and safety initiatives.
  • Assists practice manager in daily operational planning.
  • Supports team communication and problem solving across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • No experience required.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
