Job Description
Summary
The Department of Pediatrics, Pulmonology Section is seeking a qualified candidate to provide quality care at Texas Children's Hospital, Austin Campus facility.
Responsibilities
- Providing the highest standard of comprehensive clinical care to pediatric patients with pulmonary and sleep related problems.
- Fostering public awareness of diseases and disorders of the pulmonary/respiratory system and their causes.
- Promoting health and prevention of diseases of the pulmonary/respiratory system.
- Providing clinical care for consults to patients in the ICUs and other hospital units with pulmonary related problems.
- Interpretation of sleep studies completed at the Austin and Houston Campus in collaboration with the existing Sleep Medicine Team.
- Collaboration with the Sleep Medicine Team and Medical Director of the Sleep Program at the Houston Campuses for sleep laboratory overnight call, follow up of patients receiving sleep studies, and quality improvement.
Educational Requirements
- Minimum Education: M.D.
- Minimum Job Experience: Minimum of three-year pulmonary fellowship, one year of sleep medicine fellowship and board eligible in both.
Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Pulmonology
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Sleep Medicine
