Job Description

Summary

A part-time Research Associate position is available in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, Baylor College of Medicine. Research in the department focuses on primary care and community engaged research, substance use disorders, antibiotics stewardship and cancer prevention . The Research Associate will be involved in conducting independent and collaborative research, developing critical documentation for compliance with regulations, and providing technical oversight and support under the general direction of the Principal Investigator. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with demonstrated competence and experience in primary care research. This is a part-time position, approximately 20 hours each week.

Job Duties

  • Plan, direct, and conduct primary care research.
  • Support program evaluation work and contribute to regular reports.
  • Evaluate and analyze data.
  • Create and apply research methodologies specific to individual projects.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarizing findings in a relevant format for studies.
  • Assist with grant reports and publications.
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate tasks for junior research staff.
  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Basic Science or a related field.Experience in lieu of degree will not be accepted.
  • Three years of relevant experience typically as a Research Assistant, Research Technician or Postdoctoral Fellow/Associate.

  • Experience with primary care research

Work Authorization Requirement:
