As a Sports Physical Therapist with Cleveland Clinic’s Rehab and Sports Therapy Department, you will play a vital role in helping patients restore strength, range of motion, endurance, and coordination through targeted exercise programs. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients, their families, and our highly collaborative team of Orthopaedic Surgeons and sports medicine professionals—allowing you to build strong, supportive relationships while guiding patients through recovery. Whether working with athletes or individuals recovering from orthopedic procedures, your expertise, sensitivity, and encouragement will inspire them to work hard, overcome pain, and reclaim their health.
This is a full-time position. Caregivers in this role will work 5 days per week with a minimum of 2 evenings per week.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
- Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient condition.
- Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
- Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
- Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other support personnel.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Bachelor's Degree or certificate
- Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
- Three years experience in orthopedics or sports therapy OR less if a current CCF employee OR has strong experience in specified clinical area
