The successful candidate:
Schedule:Alternating Weeks
Week 1:Five 8-hour shifts (2 days off)
Week 2:Four 10-hour shifts (3 days off)
Days off vary based on coverage needs
Position Summary:
TheSenior Security Officerplays a key role in ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and property at City of Hope. This position requires a proactive, professional approach to maintaining a secure healthcare environment and responding to incidents with sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and monitor hospital grounds and facilities
Respond to incidents involving physical threats or emergencies
Document incidents including lost and found, alarms, disruptive behavior, theft, and vandalism
Collaborate with staff and emergency responders
Provide guidance and support to junior officers
Minimum Qualifications:
Priorlaw enforcement or military experience within the past 5 years
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
Certifications (Required or Obtainable):
Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 6 months of hire
Eligibility to carry a concealed firearm underLEOSA (2004)or ability to obtain within 90 days
Maintain current firearms qualification under LEOSA
ValidFOID card(for Illinois residents)

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $17.71 - $27.35 / hour
