City of Hope is in search of a Clinical Research Assistant II to manage an assigned set of multiple research protocols. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking clinical studies that advance treatments and improve patient outcomes.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Conduct protocol management for an assigned set of multiple research protocols.
  • Maintain current and accurate protocol documentation; notify investigators of pertinent protocol changes.
  • Ensure that patients are appropriately registered; maintain documentation of patient registration.
  • Compile and submit data on appropriate forms according to protocol requirements.
  • Ensure protocol compliance with intense monitoring of specific study requirements and schedule protocol related treatment and tests.
  • Play active role in recruitment of patients to study.
  • Help to train and mentor new clinical research staff members.
  • Establishes and maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information.
  • Works with physician or nurse to see that protocol related tests and evaluations are ordered per protocol guidelines.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Associate's Degree.
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • One year experience working in a health care setting, preferably in research. Must have a minimum of 6 months experience/training as a CRA I at the City of Hope.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Medical Record, Health Information Systems, or related health field.

Should we not identify a candidate who meets the CRA II qualifications requirements, we will be considering candidates for a CRA I position.

CRA I qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's Degree. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
  • Experience: Read, identify and extract pertinent data from medical record. Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
  • CRA I Pay Rate: $25.46-36.78 per hour

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $33.00 - $41.55 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
