The successful candidate:
- Provide direct, compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting, including triaging, assessing, and prioritizing care needs.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to implement care plans and interventions.
- Perform clinical assessments, administer medications, monitor vital signs, and provide treatment in alignment with department protocols and patient needs.
- Manage complex patient situations, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist in life-saving procedures such as CPR, and other emergency protocols.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training, continuing education, and professional development activities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
- Passion for providing excellent, patient-centered care.
Qualifications
- Emergency Department or critical care experience.
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within 6 months of hire).

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $32.85 - $54.13 / hour
