Job Description
Summary
The Psychology Division of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine is currently seeking a full-time Psychometrist for our offices located at the Texas Children's Hospital Medical Center Campus in Houston TX.
Responsibilities involve administration and scoring of psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental tests. Collaboration with licensed Psychologist/Neuropsychologists, as well as Licensed Psychological Associates, regarding direct patient care is also expecgted. The position is focused on both clinical work and grant-supported research projects involving children ranging in age from infancy through young adult. The patient populations span hematology/oncology (e.g., brain tumors, leukemia, sickle cell disease), organ and bone marrow transplant, endocrine disorders, genetic and metabolic diseases, autism spectrum disorders, and various other medical and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Job Duties
Ancillary activities :
- Administratersand scores psychological, neuropsychological, and developmental tests, as determined by supervising Psychologist/Neuropsychologist.
- Summarizes findings of evaluations at meeting with fellow clinical staff and faculty. Document scores as appropriate in EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Testing appointment setup:
- Gathers test protocols per list generated by supervising Psychologist/Neuropsychologist.
- Coordinates testing inventory and common spaces, as well as ensures proper infection control procedures are being followed.
- Collaborates with the neuropsychology faculty and team regarding testing for patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Psychology or related field.
- No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters' degree in a related field.
- Experience with cognitive assessments.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
