Job Description

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory ofÂDr. Andrew Lane (https://lanelab.dana-farber.org/) in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School.ÂThe lab focuses on leukemia and lymphoma biology, cancer genetics, and resistance to therapy.

We are looking for candidates who share our excitement to develop new insights about cancer biology with an ultimate goal to develop new treatment approaches. Projects will be fit with candidates experience and specific interests. Areas of the lab’s interest include leukemia and lymphoma biology (pathogenesis, hematopoiesis, and stem cells), dendritic cells (development, function, and transformation), mechanisms of resistance to cancer therapy, and cancer genetics including sex differences in malignancy. Opportunities also exist for collaborative projects with the Cancer Program at the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, have excellent teamwork and communication skills. PhD., MD., MD-PhD or doctoral equivalent is required.ÂCandidates with bioinformatic and programming skills required for analysis of sequencing-based (DNA, RNA, epigenetic) datasets will be considered. Bench skills include tissue culture, flow cytometry, standard molecular and cell biology techniques preferred as well as mouse experiment experience but is not required.ÂÂ
