Job Description

VYNDAQEL (Tafamidis meglumine) and VYNDAMAX (Tafamidis) received early FDA approval in May 2019 for the treatment of patients with transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) to reduce cardiovascular-related mortality and hospitalizations. VYNDAQEL and VYNDAMAX are first-in-class therapies and the first FDA-approved treatments for ATTR-CM, a life threatening, highly underdiagnosed condition.

The Vyndamax Access Solutions & Customer Engagement Director is a critical leader on the team, working to enable access and affordability for appropriate patients. This position requires a skilled, adaptable, and high-energy colleague to play a key role in ensuring the continued success of Vyndamax. The position requires strong strategic thinking and senior level organized customer engagement capabilities, as well as detail-oriented execution within a complex and rapidly evolving access landscape. There are three key areas of focus for this role: Patient Access, Patient/Advocacy Access Engagement, and Organized Customer Access Engagement. Working closely with the US Organized Customer and Access Team Lead and two senior managers as well as other marketing and cross-functional partners, s/he will identify and apply insights to drive patient and organized customer access strategies, tactical tools, and resources to support patient access across all channels. This position reports to the Organized Customer and Access Team Lead.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Patient Access and Support Programs Director

  • Direct strategy and execution for U.S. access-related initiatives such as Physician, Patient, Organized Customer, and Payer engagements
  • Engage with Patient Advocacy leaders at key regional and national ATTR-CM patient advocacy group meetings to obtain access insights to help advance brand strategies and tactics.
  • Engage with organized customers to include, but not limited to Integrated Delivery System Specialty Pharmacy, Procurement, and administrative stakeholders to gain insights on post-Rx experience to inform brand strategy and tactics to help bridge identified gaps.
  • Collaborate with Opinion Leader Liaisons, Key Account Directors, and Patient Affairs cross-functional partners to ensure a seamless Pfizer Customer experience.
  • Design, develop and evolve customized Access solutions for Organized Customers based on common pain points and opportunities for improvement in Post RX journey.
  • Manage agency of record
  • Partner with Specialty Access Solutions (SAS) to support the VyndaLink hub, to drive business objectives and results. Continuously review program metrics and identify areas for optimization across the patient, HCP, and Organized Customer experience, deploying solutions that enable faster and simpler patient access.
  • Lead resource generation and strategy development for two field access roles, Field Access Specialist (FAS) and Patient Access Coordinator (PAC)
  • Lead educational materials and access training for a variety of teams, including Field Reimbursement, Key Account Management, Patient Affairs, Medical, and Sales
  • Post- Rx lead for all brand POA imperatives and agendas
  • Act as key leader with cross functional partners on performance and supply chain logistics.
  • Partner closely with SAS, Medical and Legal to evaluate the brand defined distribution network, understand access trends, and identify opportunities. Collaborate to deliver core and enhanced support offerings as appropriate and advise on network evolution.
  • Lead special projects such as tracking and preparing for legislative changes (i.e., Medicare re-design) and understanding patients out of pocket cost impact, etc.
  • Lead cross-functional team related to all copay solutions to address legislative challenges (Best Price) while ensuring appropriate support to eligible patients.
  • Deliver recommendations relating to price and access strategies, payer strategy, pricing and reimbursement, evidence generation, data collection and value proposition.

Messaging and Adherence Support

  • Partner with Vyndamax marketers to enable appropriate patient education and compliance and how we communicate the post-Rx process to providers and patients.
  • Collaborate closely with Senior Managers across key projects, including VyndaLink optimization and Patient Support Navigators, Field Access Specialists, Patient Access Coordinators program for appropriate patient engagement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry, provider, organized customer, managed care, or strategic consulting experience
  • Organized Customer/Specialty Pharmacy Experience Required
  • Cardiac Amyloid Experience Required
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records Required
  • Track record of innovation and leadership
  • Demonstrated success in developing, executing, and measuring complex programs or initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems. Proven track record of operating in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand patient and system needs, extract key insights, and translate these into meaningful strategies and results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pharmacy certifications or advanced degree highly desirable.
  • Specialty or rare disease care experience preferred.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Up to 40% travel to professional organization meetings, customer engagements, and corporate meetings.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $149,200.00 to $248,600.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 0.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
