Summary
Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Allergy & Immunology at Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and organized individual to join the Food Allergy Research Program (FAP) as a Research Technician. The technician can work independently and in a team environment with a strong sense of professionalism.
Job Duties
- Processes clinical research samples.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Prepares and ships samples.
- Selects, evaluates, and applies techniques used in routine research.
- Processes clinical samples from various Food Allergy and other research studies, as needed.
- Enters study data into various study databases (e.g. REDcap).
- Orders and maintains lab supplies for the Food Allergy Program activities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field.
- Experience with biological sample processing, storage, and shipment.
