The Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 40 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at TCH, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. BCM, our academic home, is also home to outstanding psychology training programs at the graduate, internship, and postdoctoral levels.

Summary

The Autism Program at Texas Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics, Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), Division of Psychology seek applicants for a psychologist to provide services within the Autism Program at Texas Children's Hospital (TCH). The position comes with an academic appointment (clinician-educator track) at BCM in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Psychology. The psychologist will work full-time in the Autism Program at TCH, which serves children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as their families. The position will include conducting psychological assessments, in some cases as part of an interdisciplinary team. This position also involves teaching and supervision of post-doctoral fellows and interns in our APA- approved internship program. In addition to patient care and training learners in our internship and fellowship programs, all faculty members are expected to contribute to the College's academic mission. Both independent and collaborative research/scholarship opportunities are available through partnership with other Division members, as well as our subspecialty partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA- or CPA-approved program and will have substantial prior assessment experience with children with ASD. Additionally, applicants must be licensed, or license-eligible, in the state of Texas. Training in the ADOS-2 and at least one year of experience in an interdisciplinary ASD clinic is preferred. A candidate who is bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred but not required.
