As a successful candidate, you will:

Provides support in the development and installation of new or improved computer systems; confers with medical and professional personnel to define business, medical and scientific problems and to define solutions to such problems. Organizes and prepares system and programming specifications and documentation necessary for subsequent levels of development. Performs system configuration and testing for system implementation projects. Provides leadership on a variety of projects and to technical staff as a mentor and consultant.

  • Conducts feasibility studies for the preparation of plans for future information systems.
  • Leads detailed system design, configuration, testing and implementation of new or revised systems.
  • Functions as project leader during system implementation.
  • Recommends software and hardware changes.
  • Leads operational problem analysis and implements suitable solutions.
  • Drives support to end-users for various applications.
  • Assigns tasks to staff in absence of the manager.
  • Works closely with department and business staff members as necessary.
  • Evaluates and tests new PC software to determine whether or not to deploy to the rest of the technical staff.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to maintain certification/licensure, and/or keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Attends or leads meetings as required to set priorities for projects with stakeholders and participates on committees as directed.
  • Maintains a positive image when dealing with department personnel and other City of Hope employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • Five years in a related information system capacity within an IT environment. Five years relevant application experience.

Salary / Pay Rate Information:
Pay Rate: $41.92 - $64.97 / hour

The estimated pay scale represents the typical [salary/hourly] range City of Hope reasonably expects to pay for this position, with offers determined based on several factors which may include, but not be limited to, the candidate’s experience, expertise, skills, education, job scope, training, internal equity, geography/market, etc. This pay scale is subject to change from time to time.
