GDC's mission is to be an integral arm of the innovative bridge, liaising the Global sourcing team with local business units (BU), markets, and customers. Job Summary:
- As a Senior Innovation Modelling Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the innovation process within the organization. You will be responsible for working with the Global sourcing team from the point they hand over prioritized ideas, onwards through verifying potential business impact, business model creation, user journey, and application mock-up development.
Responsibilities:
- Collaboration & Understanding:Partner with the Global Sourcing team and the Business Analytics & Insights (BAI) team to understand assigned innovation ideas and extract valuable quantitative insights. With their robust collaboration skills, they ensure all relevant perspectives are incorporated into the modelling phase.
- Verification & Evaluation:Liaise closely with local business units innovation leaders and digital transformation leaders to verify prospective innovations and evaluate the potential impacts on the business, ensuring that proposed models align with real business strategy and capabilities.
- Design Thinking & Formulating Business Models:Utilizing a design-thinking approach, this role will turn insights from BU Innovation Leaders/digital transformation leaders, frontline sales representatives, and external subject matter experts into articulate, efficient, and practical business models.
- User Journey & Mock-Ups:Drawing based on feedback from a range of stakeholders, this role designs comprehensive mock-ups to make sure the future business model design align with the user needs and completes user journeys to illustrate potential end-user experiences. The mockup together with user journeys will be validated with business team who will use it in daily life.
- Design Documentation & Handover:Concluding the responsibility, synthesize collaborative efforts into comprehensive design documents, encompassing business models, user journeys, and mock-ups. External resources will be leveraged in this step. These documents are then passed to the Innovation Solution Lead to form a robust foundation for the technical solution, ensuring a smooth transfer of knowledge.
- Participation in Solution Design Stage:Further to the initial stages of modelling and design, the Innovation Modelling Senior Manager also takes part in the solution design stage, collaborating with the Innovation Solution Lead to ensure alignment between the design and technical solution development.
- Involvement in Rollout Stage:During the rollout stage, the Innovation Modelling Senior Manager collaborates with local teams to tailor the model to suit diverse market dynamics and align with local business goals and user expectations.
- Continuous Iteration & Enhancement:Following the deployment, they will regularly revisit the business model to iterate and refine it, based on user feedback, performance data, and shifts in consumer behavior or business norms.
- Post-Rollout Support & Collaboration:Their role also continues post-implementation, providing ongoing support and collaborating closely with the Solution Lead to amend and optimize both the model and the solution, as dictated by real-time performance and changing market needs.
In summary, the Innovation Modelling Senior Manager plays an integral role throughout all stages from modelling and design to solution design, rollout, and iterative stages, ensuring the developed solutions are resilient to changing environments and consistently meet the business's evolving needs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree could be an added benefit. A minimum of 7 years of experience coordinating and driving ideation, prototyping, and innovation modelling. Prior experience leveraging design thinking to structure business models. Experience in partnering with various stakeholders for idea verification and impact analysis.
Technical Skills Requirements:
- Efficiency in using various tools/software/platforms for data management and presentation. Ability to analyze complex data and interpret it. Proven skills in planning, organizing, and executing innovation modelling. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts. Familiarity with design thinking and other innovation methodologies.
Industry Background:
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry would be an advantage.
- A background in the retail sector,
- with insight into the latest innovation initiatives and trends, would be beneficial. Candidates with diverse industry experience and prior consulting experience would be valued.
