Summary
This position will serve as the subject matter expert in supporting the large, complex clinical research initiatives of the Department of Medicine. In collaboration with the Chair of Medicine and other investigators, the incumbent will perform the duties as listed below. This position is expected to be a mentor to all Department research coordinators and other professionals.
Job Duties
- Designs and drafts study protocols, informed consent forms, data collection forms, standard operating procedures, and manuals of operation for multiple studies led by Dr. Hashem El-Serag
- Identifies and/or anticipates systemic or site-level issues with study operations; develops and implements corrective/preventive action plans
- Coaches and delegates tasks to research team personnel
- Oversees data mapping of essential data elements for study analyses
- Acts as liaison between data management, statistical analysis team and project leadership
- Assists in interim and end of study data analyses
- Oversees and/or executes regulatory compliance documents for studies
- Ensures key study and project milestones are met by multiple multi-disciplinary research teams
- Assists with drafting manuscripts to disseminate research study findings
- Ensures synergy between site operations, biorepository, and data management teams
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Six years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree, experience with hepatobiliary carcinoma research
