Summary
The Fukuda Laboratory, located in the Children's Nutrition Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Research Technician I to join our team. The research focuses on metabolism and neuroscience, and looking for a technician who is excited to contribute to this dynamic field. The technician will be responsible for maintaining mouse colonies and assisting with various laboratory tasks. This position offers a collaborative and stimulating environment with opportunities for personal growth and career development.

Job Duties
- Maintains mouse colonies.
- Assists in performing mouse metabolic study and mouse surgery.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes data.
- Orders laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Performs routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assists in achieving the goal for obesity/diabetes research.
- Cooperates and collaborates with other lab members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
- One year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Has willingness to work with mice.
- Cooperates and collaborates with other lab members.
- Has strong communication skills.
