Qualifications Required
Ability to understand advanced information technology principals and applications in troubleshooting of client systems and related equipment to the component level. Knowledge acquired when completing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in information technology and/or electronics technology.

Requires experience in replacing electronic components, and network infrastructure through advanced troubleshooting skills and good safety practices. This level of knowledge is normally acquired through two to three years of progressively more responsible work-related experience or through an electronic or IT certification. This positions requires an advanced level of understanding IT process management. This is usually obtained through ITSM or ITIL certification and training.

A relatively high level of analytical skills to diagnose needed repairs of IT and AV and related equipment, determine optimal method for making such repairs, recommending It and AV related equipment which will best meets the college needs, etc.

Interpersonal skills are necessary in order to exchange factual information about various IT and AV equipment with college personnel and vendors. These skills can be obtained either though work experience or customer service trainings.

Advanced working knowledge of current application software, current OS software, web tools, and enterprise database software usage. Additional technical certifications may also be defined, required, and outlined by their supervisor.

General Summary
Individual is responsible for college wide end-user Information Technology system resources including; computer equipment, audio and visual equipment, business and instruction software, and OS installation/support, virtualization desktops and pools, telepresence software and equipment, inventory tracking, computer and media equipment wiring, hardware/software/security/configuration standards, providing level 1 and 2 technical services and support for the college IT and audiovisual needs. The Information Technology Systems Specialist also follows current ITSM/ITIL framework and processes. Individual will perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures.

1. Responsible installing, updating, patching, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing end-user technologies at Central Community College in the Columbus service area for college software and equipment. This includes; repairing, configuring, troubleshooting physical and virtual computing devices, projectors, microphones, televisions, digital signage, photo identification software and equipment, telepresence equipment, monitors, media input switching technology, instructional teaching and testing software and equipment, and computer/media cabling.

2. Responsible for proper documentation in an electronic inventory solution for CCC end-user technology systems, including assigned and unassigned for the Columbus service area.

3. Responsible for work orders that are assigned to the Information Technology Systems Team and the Columbus service area.

4. Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating campus cable television distribution systems including campus cable system, satellite receiving systems, and video teleconferencing systems in the Columbus service area.

5. Collaborates and works with Service Center employees and work studies assigned to the ITS department. This may include; training on IT software and equipment, answering IT support questions, and IT work order assignments.

6. Responsible for setup, recording, and testing of technology equipment required for special events and requests. Includes; Theater, Sports, graduations, etc.

7. Responsible for the technology equipment sales college wide. Includes; receiving updates on location quantities to the team, coordinates equipment logistics, and responding to customers.

8. Responsible for Operating System Deployment (ODS) tasks for CCC Information Technology Systems Team. This process includes, creating a basic or specialized image, capturing images, prepping image for deployment, and deploying the image to all CCC owned computing devices.

9. Provide technology on boarding and technical expertise training/support for all CCC stakeholders on software, hardware, and processes.
